Najib leaves for Saudi Arabia

SEPANG: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak left for Saudi Arabia to pay his last respects to Crown Prince Nayef Abdul Aziz Al Saud, who died on Saturday.

The aircraft with Najib and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, departed from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 1.50pm. Accompanying them was the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.
On Saturday, a statement from the royal family said Crown Prince Nayef died in a hospital abroad while Saudi Arabian television station Al-Arabiya confirmed that the crown prince had died in Geneva, Switzerland. Prince Nayef, 78, was appointed as the crown prince in October following the death of Sultan Abdul Aziz. He was also the home minister since 1975.

Najib is scheduled to return home tomorrow. Bernama
